Newsies Dance Workshop
Do you love to sing, dance and act!? Then this workshop is for you! Youth will learn dances from Disney’s NEWSIES Jr. and build on performance skills, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression.
Arts Collective Theatre (ACT) is inviting youth ages 8 – 18 to our Youth Creative Dance Workshop. Regardless of experience, we want to meet you!
This workshop will be run by Choreographer Becca Silvius.
Becca Silvius is ACT’s Youth Creative Program Director. She has been involved in community theatre in Windsor and Essex County for 20 years. She started dancing at a studio in Kingsville at 6 years old, and fell in love with music even earlier. She has choreographed and music directed for several theatre companies over the years and taught at Cassiahs Dance Company in Leamington.
About ACT Youth Creative
This program inspires excellence, motivates learning, builds confidence, and sparks a lifelong appreciation for the arts. It offers a fun and challenging educational environment for youth ages 8 – 18. No previous experience is required but a good challenge is provided to those who DO have experience. Students will be trained through professional workshops and will be taught the art of performance by experiencing what it takes to perform in a musical production on the stage of Windsor’s iconic Capitol Theatre.
