THE ACT BIG BAND - NIGHT AT THE MOVIES
The ACT Big Band, presented A Night at the Movies on May 6 & 7, 2017 at the Olde Walkerville Theatre. A selection of popular movie scores and award winning songs like “Pretty Women”, “The Blues Brothers Revue”, “The Mission Impossible Theme Song” and “Beauty and the Beast”, were played, just to name a few. Special guest vocalists also performed a few of these classics in a true tribute to the magic that music casts in film. The ACT Big Band is a group of Windsor-Essex student musicians and mentors conducted By Sebastian Bachmeier.
ACT prides itself on supporting Windsor-Essex youth with their professional growth within the arts, by giving them the opportunity to lead their own productions with the guidance of mentors. The ACT Big Band is an example of this initiative.
