With the most recent announcement from the provincial government, and after careful deliberation, the Arts Collective Theatre (ACT) Board of Directors has decided to cancel its upcoming performances of Memphis the musical this Spring.

Artistic Director Chris Rabideau of ACT says “We are living in uncertain times; the world has changed, and hard decisions have to be made for the good and well-being of everyone and the organization. We do not take this decision lightly and we look forward to acting again in the future.”

We want to thank the cast, crew, volunteers, mentors, and musicians who worked hard over the last 10 weeks. Your talent and dedication will live on within future projects.

The ACT board would like to thank all of our patrons who have donated to ACT during this economic hardship. We appreciate your contributions and your continued support of ACT and its future endeavours.

If you have purchased tickets and would like to make your ticket a donation to ACT, please email the Capitol Theatre box office at or for more information.

If you have purchased tickets and would like to move your ticket to a future show, or if you would like a full refund, please email the Capitol Theatre box office, for more information.

As for the rest of our 2020 season, our plans remain fluid at this time. Our board of directors, like those of so many arts organizations, is doing the best it can to manage our annual program through this difficult time. We will keep a close watch on directives from city and public health officials and will re-assess the situation as it unfolds.  We do promise to keep you informed of any new developments as they come up.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope that when this time passes, the community will lift up and celebrate Windsor-Essex artists and organizations by supporting local theatre programming.

Thank you, and please stay healthy and safe.

The ACT Board of Directors.
