Thanks to City of Windsor – Municipal Government Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund, ACT’s 2020 Social Justice Theatre Project is back! Get ready for “Wherever It Takes You – MOMENTS”, on June 20 at 11:00am and 7:00pm, come watch our cast go live with a few scenes from the play and a Q&A about the making of this production.

There are approximately 560,000 Canadians currently living with dementia. If you haven’t been directly impacted by this disease, you likely will be within the next 15 years when the number is expected to rise to more than 900,000.  Now is the time to bring more awareness to and educate our community on this disease so ACT has assembled a cast of individuals, over the age of 50, to perform in this plat that takes the audience on a turbulent journey of love, anger, and acceptance.

An over-compensating husband, squabbling siblings deciding the fate of their mother, and a brother and sister trying to come to terms with their younger brother’s diagnosis of early onset dementia, form the three storylines of the play.

From the creative team who brought you “Elder Affairs” and “In Flight”, Wherever It Takes You is a solemn and poignant play that beautifully captures the emotional rollercoaster experienced by both those living with dementia and those who care for them.

Show runs June 20, 2020 on Facebook Live.
